Hi, I’m Rachael Durie, founder of RAD Accounting.
I help small business owners feel confident about their numbers so they can spend less time worrying about their books and more time doing what they love.
I launched RAD Accounting in 2025 as my family and I relocated to the Washington, D.C. area. I believe accounting shouldn’t feel overwhelming or intimidating—it should give you clarity, confidence, and freedom. I love working with business owners who pour their heart into what they do, and I treat every client relationship as a true partnership.
Before starting RAD Accounting, I spent several years building my career in accounting and finance. Most recently, I served as Controller at Catholic Extension Society, a faith-based not-for-profit in Chicago. Earlier in my career, I worked as an Auditor at Plante Moran, serving clients across the banking, not-for-profit, services, and manufacturing industries.
I’ve been a licensed CPA since 2019 and earned my B.A. in Accounting & Marketing from Carthage College.
Outside of work, I’m a wife and mom to a one-year-old daughter. I understand firsthand the balancing act of running a business while managing family life—and I grew up surrounded by four generations of entrepreneurs doing just that. That experience shaped how I work today: practical, supportive, and always focused on helping business owners build something sustainable.
